Active Shooter Awareness Training

This course is designed for employees, management and facility personnel on how to recognize, manage and prepare for an active shooter event.This course is not written for law enforcement officers, but for non-law enforcement employees.
An active shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and other populated area. In most cases, active shooters use firearms and there is no pattern or method to their selection of victims. Active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly. All employees can help prevent and prepare for potential active shooter situations.

Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

Restaurant Safety
 
Audience: This course is intended for anyone working in the food industry. Waiters, waitresses, hosts, chef's, etc.
Overview: Treating a choking victim is the main topic of this training. Students will also receive training in Adult Hands-only CPR.

Fire Warden
 
The Fire Warden course covers the above as well as the roles & responsibilities of the Fire Warden. How to identify emergency situations where workplace evacuation is required (ie. Bomb threats, fire, External Emergencies). Have an understanding of the nature and dangers of fire. Have an awareness of Building Evacuation Requirements. Implement evacuation procedures and more.

Re-Entry Into The Workplace-Contagious Diseases
 
This course is a PowerPoint Presentation explain how pathogens (germs) are transmitted, what to do if you or a co-worker are infected and how to safely return to the workplace. We cover PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), Social Distancing, Sanitizing and Disinfecting. Meeting, breaks and dealing with customers, vendors and co-workers in the new normal.

 Car Seat Installations and Inspections
 
Car Seat Installsations and Inspections are provided by appointment only. They are offered inconjunction with the Manalapan Township Police Department and Bayshore EMS. The techs assigned to these at certified  CPS Techs (Child Passenger Safety) through Safe Kids Worldwide. Due to the Coronavirus, the following guidelines must be meet by the caregiver in order to attend an appointment.

1- Only 1 car per appointment and only 1 person per car. If you have more than 1 car seat, please make a seperate appointment.

2- Temperature will be taken before entry. (Optional)

3- Driver will remain outside building until install/inspection is completed.

4- Driver must be wearing face mask or covering. (Optional)

5- Children may not be present during the inspection or install.

6- A $20.00 fee will be charged when registering. The fee will be refunded after you make your appointment. We have had many people sign up and not show up taking spots away from others. 

If any of the above are not adhered to, the install or inspection will not be preformed.

 
 

HeartSaver/Basic CPR/AED

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs to know how to perform CPR or to obtain a certificate for CPR to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. This course is highly recommended for daycare workers, school teachers, security personnel, summer camps, work, babysitters, as well as construction workers. This course is NOT intended for Healthcare Providers or any personnel working or those whom may be working in the medical field in the future (i.e., nursing/medical students). This course is an educational program jointly sponsored by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI).

                              The Heartsaver/Basic CPR/AED course covers:

  1. CPR for adults and children: (infants optional) 
  2. Usage of AED for adults, children and infants
  3. Relief of choking for adults and children: (infants optional)

Course Duration: 2-3 Hours

HeartSaver/Basic First Aid

                              The Heartsaver/Basic First Aid course covers: 

-    First aid basics (including scene safety, finding the problem, and calling for help)
-    Medical emergencies (including actions for choking, breathing problems, and shock)
-    Injury emergencies (including actions for bleeding, broken bones, and burns)
-    Environmental emergencies (including actions for bites, stings, temperature-related, and poison emergencies) 

This course is an educational program jointly sponsored by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI)

Course Duration: 3 Hours

BLS For HealthCare Providers

This course is for Healthcare Professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.  This course is often required by many hospitals or schools related to the medical field.  Individuals such as nursing students, EMT students, Doctors, First Responders and others will very likely be required to be certified in BLS before or during school sessions or in accordance with work regulations. This course is an educational program jointly sponsored by the American Heart Association (AHA).        

                              The BLS Course Covers:

  • Adult and pediatric CPR
  • Two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask
  • Foreign-body airway obstruction (conscious and unconscious)
  • Automated external defibrillation (includes child AED update)
  • Special resuscitation situations
  • Other cardiopulmonary emergencies
  • Stroke and cardiac arrest 

Course Duration: 4 Hours

 

Welcome to the HeartCode® BLS Course. This course has 2 components: an online portion and an instructor-led classroom portion. You must complete the online portion first.

Your will need a course key to access the online portion. You can contact the instructor for this course key.

The online portion includes an exam. You will have access to your BLS Provider Manual online during the exam.

Important: You must print the certificate of completion at the end of the online portion. You will need to give this to your instructor when you attend the classroom portion. It is necessary to show that you completed the online portion and passed the exam. If you do not have your certificate of completion, you will not be able to complete the skills practice and testing of the course.

The Pet First Aid & Pet CPR course is a certification course through the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI). The course runs about 2 ½ hours and consists of training in rescue breathing, pulse check and chest compressions. We cover emergencies such as bleeding, shock, fractures, heat and cold emergencies, poisoning, drowning and much more. Students will receive a student manual with everything we cover in the course as well as some medical emergencies we cannot cover. They will receive information on evacuation, poisoning, a bookmark, a quick reference card, and much more. Upon successful completion of the course each student will receive a wallet size certification card and a certificate suitable for framing. This is a nationally recognized course and certificates are valid for 2 years. Maximum class size is 25.

Remote Skills Verification - AHA First Aid Blended Course

Included is the blended course, digital certification card, remotes skill video and a security key to access the online training. We will ship all training supplies. No return required. Code: AHA-FA 

The Digital Certification Card is identical to a printed version of the card and includes access to the digital student book. It is valid for two years.

When selecting your date and time, THIS WILL BE THE DATE AND TIME YOU WILL BE TESTED ON YOUR SKILLS. Plan on 2-4 hours of online training. You must also present your Certificate of Online Completion before your Certification Card is issued. Allow 2-4 business days for equipment to arrive to your location. Therefore, schedule your date of testing a minimum of 7-10 days of registration.

Restaurant Safety

This course teaches the restaurant staff how to deal with common emergencies in the restaurant setting. Skills can also be used outside of work. Topics include scene safety, determining responsiveness, administering hands-only CPR, treating choking victims, bleeding control and bandaging.
